What Is Nanofat Rejuvenation?
Nanofat rejuvenation, also called nanofat grafting, is a fat transfer technique that focuses on skin quality rather than volume. A small amount of fat is gently harvested from an area such as the abdomen or thighs, then mechanically emulsified and filtered into a fine liquid that can pass through a very small needle.
Processing breaks down most of the fat cells, so nanofat adds little volume. However, it retains regenerative components from your fat tissue that may help improve skin texture, color, and thickness. Because nanofat is so fine, you can place it just beneath the surface in delicate areas, such as under the eyes, where traditional fat grafting or fillers can look lumpy.
