What Is Aveli™ Cellulite Treatment?
Aveli™ is a minimally invasive cellulite treatment from Merz Aesthetics. It is FDA-cleared for the long-term reduction in the appearance of cellulite in the buttocks and thighs of adult females. Rather than heating or massaging the skin, Aveli™ addresses the fibrous bands, called septa, that tether the skin downward and create the dimpled look.
During the Aveli™ cellulite treatment, a slim handheld device is placed beneath the skin through a tiny incision. A light at the tip helps your provider precisely locate each tight band, and the device then releases it, allowing the skin above to smooth out. Because each dimple is treated directly, most patients need only one Aveli™ treatment.
Dr. Pazmiño personally performs every Aveli™ treatment at our practice using the Merz Aesthetics Aveli™ device, and he brings experience from a wide range of cases. He is also involved in research studies on Aveli™ that are being prepared for publication. Aveli™ works well for isolated dimples and is often combined with more extensive body contouring. In those cases, he releases the tight, fibrous bands, refines your contour with liposuction, and may place a small amount of your own fat beneath the treated areas for added support and to help reduce the chance of the dimples returning.
