Out of Town Patients

Introduction

Every year, patients travel to Miami from across the country and around the world to have surgery with Dr. Pat Pazmiño at his Brickell office. Our team makes the trip as easy as the surgery. We help you plan your arrival, your stay and your follow-up visits, so you can focus on resting and healing. Most out-of-town patients stay in Miami for a few days to about a week, depending on the procedure. Each procedure page lists the recommended stay, and Dr. Pazmiño will confirm your plan at your consultation.

Arrival

Our office is at 848 Brickell Avenue, Suite 820, Miami, FL 33131, in the heart of Miami’s Brickell neighborhood and a short drive from the airport. Please arrive at least one day before surgery so you can complete your pre-operative visit without rushing. Please check with our office to confirm when you are expected to arrive in town.

Hotels

Our team works with many hotels near our office, at every level of pricing, and we have arranged special rates for our patients. We are experts at helping patients find accommodations, so we recommend that you contact our office directly before you book. We will help you find a comfortable, safe hotel at a price that matches your budget.

For recovery, Dr. Pazmiño recommends a room with an elevator, a comfortable bed or recliner, and room service or easy food delivery. For procedures performed in the hospital, you also have the option of going home with a private nurse who looks after your comfort and safety. A few of the hotels near our office include:

Culinary Highlights

Miami’s food scene is one of the city’s great pleasures. During the first days of recovery, Dr. Pazmiño recommends light, low-sodium meals to help limit swelling, and many patients prefer delivery. Once you feel up to it, these nearby favorites are worth a visit:

  • Zuma: contemporary Japanese cuisine on the river.
  • Komodo: Southeast Asian dishes in a striking multi-level setting.
  • Novikov: pan-Asian dishes in downtown Miami, a short drive from Brickell.

Local Highlights

Gentle walking helps recovery, and Miami offers beautiful places to do it. Protect your incisions from the sun and avoid strenuous activity until Dr. Pazmiño clears you.
