What Is VASER Hi-Def Liposuction?
VASER stands for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance. During VASER liposuction, a thin probe delivers ultrasound energy that emulsifies fat cells while helping preserve nearby nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue; the liquefied fat is then removed with gentle suction through small cannulas.
The “Hi-Def” part describes how the fat is removed. Instead of thinning an area evenly, high-definition liposuction removes fat strategically along muscle borders, such as the abdominals, obliques, chest, back, and arms, to create natural shadows and highlights. VASER can also treat the flanks, thighs, chin and neck, knees, ankles, and calves.
